Symphony Bruce, MLIS

Information is empowerment.

Hi, I'm Symphony.

I am an academic librarian who teaches information literacy and research skills. I'm a cat-raising, coffee-drinking, nap-taking bibliophile who loves to talk about libraries, research, and teaching. Let's share ideas and resources!

Curls in the Library.

A blog about information literacy, reference, libraries, and teaching written by a former high school English teacher who now works as an academic research, teaching, and learning librarian.

My goal as an academic librarian is to empower students to locate, question, and integrate information not only for their coursework, but for the way they navigate their lives. My librarianship is highly informed by my years as a high school English teacher, where I learned the significance of student-centered learning and how relationships are crucial to the educational experience.
